This lamp was inspired by spider forms and structures. I drew inspiration from their delicate and long legs. The outer frame was made using scrap white oak and the joinery consists of a lap and domino joinery. The shade was made using Korean Hanji paper and wire. I wanted a contrast of color and material, taking into consideration form and surface texture.
